Our location puts you just 3 miles from Saltburn beach, with Skinningrove beach a mere mile away. Explore further afield with Staithes just 5 miles away and Runswick Bay a scenic 13-mile drive. For nature lovers, North York Moors National Park is only 3 miles away, providing breathtaking landscapes and outdoor adventures. Need supplies? An off-license is just a few minutes' walk away, while a supermarket is a short 2-mile drive. Plus, enjoy the convenience of takeaway deliveries.

The house locates next to railway but it's only for maintenance trains so no worries about train noise. It's convenient to park right outside the house with peace of mind. The host was responsive to our needs. Good location to be home for visiting Whitby and Saltburn.
We had a good stay at trackside. It was conveniently located, everything was clean and comfortable.
Beautiful space. We were able to check in early hours of the morning due to the key safe and instructions from owners. Loved watching the potash trains going by, couldn’t hear them in the house at all. Beautiful little courtyard garden that stayed warm all day.
The cottage was lovely, updated but still had some of its old bones. It is on the side of the main road, so busy with traffic, but not too loud. The cottage itself seemed to have most things you need although I have privately sent some recommendations. It’s in a great location where you are not too far from any of the great sites nearby or towns. It very much is in the middle of nowhere though, so I would recommend getting shopping before going as there is just a mini market shop in the town.
The cottage itself was perfect. Very spacious and lovely inside. Spotlessly clean with everything you need. The village itself was a little run down and based around the steelworks but it was a good base. You could walk the Cleveland way to Saltburn one way or Staithes the other. The bus stop was right outside so you dont need to drive at all. Its on a busy road but we had a great nights sleep. The bed was very comfy. The beach at Skinningrove ( 15 minute walk) was gorgeous and dog friendly which is what we wanted. There isnt much to do in the evening but again that was ok with us, no pubs or restaurants nearby (that we found anyway). We loved our stay.
Spacious house on a busy main road (road noise & train noise did not bother us) Near to all the places we like to visit - Skinningrove, Saltburn, Sandsend & Whitby and walkable to the brilliant café/bar Kaskane in Skinningrove (well worth a visit!) We visit this area regularly & whilst this wasn't the best property we've stayed in it was perfectly adequate.
Cottage is in a great location for visiting the nearby coastal villages. It was as described on the listing. Garden was enclosed which was perfect for us as we took our dog along.
The place was exactly how it looked in the photos. The nearby beach was lovely and it was nice and close to more tourist areas such as Whitby. Easy check in. No issues.
Host very nice property good size spacious as I’m 6ft 4. Most things on site to make it easily usable. To say on a road fairly quiet. Nice to park outside the front door. Comfy and liveable ideal holiday stay. No problems as such as it’s a location where you can take the dog for a holiday. Overall positive.

we had a really great time at trackside so much to see and do in the area the highlight of our holiday was the Pilgrim walk to lindisfarne with our guide Ray who brought the Walk to life when we booked it we didn't realise how far up the coast it was but we stayed in Durham for the night and it's well worth visiting saltburn by the sea is lovely and the ship inn does good priced food marske has a wonderful expanse of beach
The house is exactly as the listing suggests and was extremely clean and well equipped. The mattresses were excellent quality and I particularly liked that the white goods in the kitchen and the shower were all easy to use. Carlin How is surrounded by beautiful countryside and coast. The people are friendly. The house is on a direct bus to Whitby one way and Redcar the other with varies coastal stops which makes it easy to get around. Due to needing nothing I didn't need to contact my host at all.
We had a fabulous stay at Trackside Cottage. The house was very well equipped and it felt like a home from home. It was amazing value for money and we shall not hesitate to use again when we return to visit family.
The cottage was very clean and tidy, it was also well-appointed with facilities/amenities. The bathroom/shower were excellent. The TV/internet were easy-to-use and the kitchen was very suitable for our needs. All-in-all we had a lovely 3-night stay.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the trackside cottage. The place was clean and well-decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. fully equipped kitchen. The location is great for anyone whos visiting north part of yorkshire and york moore National park. very close from the beach.The host was helpful and responsive, providing clear instructions for check-in and offering great recommendations for local spots to visit. I highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable place to stay.

Nice cottage with a lot of room. Clean and a fully equiped kitchen. The trains didn't bother at all. Great location to reach the seasidetowns. And grace community brewhouse is a real gem just 5 min away.
