Another great stay at the cottage. We will be back. Thanks
Great stay, had everything needed. Would like to stay again. Great communication
Lovely stay at the cosy cottage. The kitchen is well equipped, good WiFi, no tv but plenty of interesting books to read and some great art books to look at. Fantastic stars outside on a clear night, pub up the road, Alton isn’t too far away either for supplies. Liked it so much I’ve booked to stay for the month until my work in Surrey is done. Thanks Veronica for an easy stay
Only down side was no shower or TV, which we took for granted. Also had issues at the beginning of our stay with parking a company vehicle.
Great stay and very convenient for the three weeks we needed to stay there as needed access to Alton and back frequently ?
We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Hilltop. Given its not too expensive rental rate, it is fairly priced. The kitchen is well-equipped. As an added plus, there is a splendid collection of books on literature, art, and history. The bathroom, as the Airbnb photos show, is a tad old-fashioned, with a bathtub and spray attachments for rinsing. Where the Airbnb listing is misleading is in the geographic location of the attached cottage. The GPS location of the cottage on Google Maps is wrong by several hundred meters. So we spent almost an hour driving up and down the right road turning into the wrong driveways. No doubt, better information will be forthcoming on the Airbnb site. Another quibble is that the attached cottage is, indeed, on a hill, but there are no views other than on to the small front garden which fronts the hill road. We did end up finding the cottage, and we certainly did enjoy our stay there.
Great host very responsive. And the property was lovly and clean in a great location
A fantastic bolt hole to escape the trials of modern life. Alton is a 5 min drive with all the usual amenities. I went for a couple of runs on the local footpaths and enjoyed the lovely countryside around the area.
Veronica geeft duidelijke instructies, reageert snel.
Had a lovely stay. Would recommend.
A nice cute, warm and comfortable apartment in rural UK. Only challenge we had was with public transport. The bus seemed not to be running from the only walkable bus stop.
Veronica does a good job of providing information in preparation for arrival and the cottage is in a great location. It's not an amazing place, the doors don't shut properly, it looks like it hasn't had much attention since the late 70s and there's no shower but it's comfortable enough, the heating and appliances work and it's a great area for a holiday with Jane Austen's house nearby along with plenty of other interesting places to visit. It has good WiFi but no TV. Parking is a little walk over uneven ground from the entrance so wasn't particularly accessible for my elderly parents. Nevertheless we had an enjoyable stay and Veronica doesn't try to present the cottage as anything other than it is - what you see is what you get, a small terraced cottage with a double bed in one room and a single in the other. It would be a book lover's paradise - it's a quiet location and the cottage is crammed with interesting literature.
Great quiet place. Good for escaping.
Thank you Veronica for a great stay. Lovely area, and would stay again. Thanks again
Lovely cottage in quaint location, immaculate accommodation.
exactly as described, perfect quiet location
A lovely little cottage, ideal for 2 people and well equipped. It was obviously furnished and decorated with a lot of attention to detail. The area is very peaceful and quiet. There is also a very nice pub about an 8 minutes walk down the road or you can do the short drive into town. Veronica was always quick and helpful with responding to messages and questions. We booked very much last minute (less than 48hours before arrival) but everything went very smoothly anyway.
A nice little house which served me as a bolt hole for writing. Some great books to read too! Well equipped, warm and cozy. Lovely village and walks. But the cleaning had not been done well. It was not dirty, but scruffy and a bit messy. Veronica was very responsive and refunded part of the cleaning fee.

Another great stay while we’ve been working locally. Thanks Veronica
