This is the second time I have stayed at this property as it’s such a lovely home. The location is close to York but also lots of nice walks in the local village. The home is clean and very cosy. We took our baby and a cot, high chair, change mat and bath seat were provided which was fantastic. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We had a lovely stay in the garden house with our 4 month old. The space was clean and cosy, and the baby bath seat and changing mat was an excellent addition!
I wanted a place to stay that was peaceful and private and had an enclosed garden ( which even in February looked interesting) for my Welsh Springer Spaniel and this property was absolutely perfect. The standard throughout was 5 star but it was the little extra things that made it feel really homely and I will definitely keep my eye on the availability and book a return visit.
We had a brilliant stay at the garden house. The house is very well equipped with lovely furnishings. Check in was easy. Great location in the lovely quiet Low Catton village and walking distance to Stamford Bridge. Would highly recommend!

We stayed for 2 nights with our baby and dog, Tobias had provided everything we could have needed for both! Such a lovely touch, the property is bigger than it looks on pictures too which was a nice surprise! Spacious, absolutely spotless, easy to access and the instruction are easy to follow, we would definitely reccomend to stay here it was perfect.
We enjoyed our stay at the Garden House. Property was spacious, extremely clean and well equipped. Dog bowls were even provided! The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and the area had some lovely walks not far from the house. Host provided milk, coffee, tea and biscuits. Peaceful location.
Just home from a wonderful couple of nights over New Year at The Garden House, a beautiful cottage on the outskirts of York. The property was very clean and had everything we could need and is in a lovely little village. It was exactly what we were looking for and we’ll definitely be back.
Highly recommend the Garden Cottage, we had a very relaxing stay. The cottage was well equipped, with a beautiful lounge and open plan kitchen area. The garden was lovely and secure for our dog, which was much appreciated. Importantly for us, the cottage was private and there were multiple great walks on the doorstep. The local pub was great and had a good selection of food. We would definitely visit again :)
Perfect stay for Christmas! It had everything we needed and great location for nearby villages and to York! We couldn't have found a better place!
We stayed here for the weekend whilst visiting York Christmas markets and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The property was clean, spacious and with all of the amenities we needed. We had our 6-month old son with us and Tobias kindly ensured that all of the baby items we needed were ready for our arrival. There were also some lovely Christmas decorations and a little tree set up for us which was a lovely touch! Would absolutely recommend this host and property, and would love to stay here again ourselves 😊
Lovely place to stay on the outskirts of York. The cottage was perfect for a few nights with everything you need already there. The cottage was clean on arrival and warmly lit with a christmas tree and decorations. The cottage is in a lovely little village location and clear instructions were provided on how to find it.
Just returned from an excellent stay. Property was gorgeous and had everything we needed for us, our dog, and baby. Very clean, great friendly pub just a short walk away. Would recommend and return again.
A lovely property. Everything was pristine and the kitchen very well stocked. The host was very responsive letting us know we could check in early and out late. Overall this is a lovely place to stay, so peaceful quiet and private.

We had a wonderful stay at this absolutely stunning property. It is beautifully presented, very private, and incredibly comfortable. We travelled with our two dogs and our six month old baby, and it was easily the best equipped and best maintained house I have ever stayed in. Everything we could possibly need was provided, from dog bowls to a baby travel cot, changing mat, and bath seat. These thoughtful touches made it feel like a true home away from home. Although we unfortunately had to leave earlier than planned due to personal circumstances, we genuinely look forward to returning. There is so much more of the surrounding area we hope to explore, and this property is the perfect base for doing so. Highly recommended.

We stayed here before and after running York marathon and what an amazing stay! The village is stunning with a lovely pub a minutes walk away. The accommodation itself was homely, and has everything you need. The bathroom was lovely and perfect to unwind with a hot bath after the race! There are some lovely walks close by, and the space is extremely private and peaceful. Couldn’t have asked for anything more!
The cottage is beautifully decorated and so cosy, we felt at home straight away. The secure garden was perfect for our dogs. The location is great for a peaceful stay but also within a short drive of York and the Yorkshire Moors. We would highly recommend this cottage.

Cozy Retreat in Charming Low Catton Village We had a delightful stay at this one-bedroom Airbnb in Low Catton! The cozy retreat provided the perfect ambiance for a relaxing getaway. The place was comfortable, clean and peaceful. Added bonus of still being close enough for visits to York. Overall, we would recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil and memorable stay in the area.

Really enjoyed our stay, a great spacious property with walled and gated garden meaning we could let the dog off lead in the garden. Perfect rural location for country walks and only circa 25 mins from York city centre. Great communication from the hosts. Would be happy to stay here again.
The Garden House is a lovely getaway from the city but located in easy reach of pretty much everything near York. The house is pristine and very well presented, with everything you need for a few days away. Tobias is helpful, proactive and I felt like he really cared about our experience. Great for dogs, as the garden is walled and secure.

It is a lovely, quiet, peaceful cottage with good parking and a nice private secure garden that was perfect for my dogs. The interior was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. This was our second visit and we will certainly try to return again next year.
Enjoyed the stay as accommodation is a good standard. Had to travel to nearby places as village was as remote as it is. If I had researched village a bit more I would have known what to expect therefore my fault and not the Letters.
As a keen gardener I chose this property for the beautiful walled garden, it did not disappoint. I strolled up and down the gravel paths many times going over in my head what I would do should that be my garden!! The property was also very nice, clean and well equipped. The village of Low Catton was also lovely and the pub across the road was very friendly and served great food. We walked into Stamford Bridge a couple of times too, which is worth a visit. I would certainly recommend this property and we would stay again. Great communication with the host from booking to checking out. Thank you
Absolutely wonderful stay here. Very peaceful and a pub with in walking distance! We took our dog with us and I’m always anxious letting him off in an enclosed space as he will try to escape anyway he can 😅. But it was fully enclosed and I could let him off with ease! Would recommend if you’re looking for a nice peaceful retreat.

We had such a lovely stay at The Garden House with our dog. The space is super secluded, with gorgeous walks nearby and a friendly pub (with delicious food!) on the doorstep. We took the Park & Ride to York on one of the days, which was easily accessible. We also walked to Stamford Bridge, which was gorgeous. Every detail was thought of, making this a comfortable, joyful, and memorable holiday.
Really lovely stay - wish we’d had longer to explore. Lovely private walled garden - so pretty and safe for the dog. We always take spare blankets and towels when we travel with the dog in case it’s is wet out, but lovely that this had already been thought of. Nice pub food in the pub over the road. On route home, we went to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park - would really recommend.

A wonderful weekend spent in The Garden Cottage. Exceeded expectations, the space is even larger than it appears on the photos. We spent the weekend pottering into York but finding ourselves returning early to enjoy the garden in the sunshine. Very clean and everything you could need provided for the weekend. We will certainly be returning.
A lovely break in peaceful surroundings. The location was beautiful with nice walks for the dogs, who also loved chasing each other in the Airbnb’s walled gardens. It was cosy, quiet, private, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Lovely place to stay, it's only about 15-20 minutes from York and an 40 minutes to the moors so it's a great location. The place was lovely, super clean and beautifully decorated. We would definitely recommend the pub in the village as they were super friendly and the food was amazing!

Lovely peaceful accommodation. Beautiful open plan kitchen/diner/lounge area with plenty of windows and doors opening out onto the private walled garden. Bed was extremely comfortable. Lovely setting within small village, with great pub almost opposite the place. Very nice 30 mins walk into Stamford Bridge, all away from roads, and partly along the River Derwent.

The Garden House and its walled garden are beautiful! It was peaceful, private, very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the house had a really homely feel. A great location only approx. 20 minutes by car to the centre of York, and the property was easy to find with thorough and helpful instructions from the hosts. We stayed here with our baby and found it to be a great space for our young family. Would highly recommend.

Had a lovely few days at this place. Very peaceful. Great places to visit in drivable distances. We went to York, Castle Haword and Flamborough Head so definitely a central location. The cottage was airy, spacious, clean, well equipped. What more can I say. A great escape.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Garden House. A very peaceful setting. Comfortable, clean and had all the amenities we needed. We used the park and ride to travel into York (10 min drive). Had a lovely day exploring the minster, shambles & railway museum (free admission). Trip to Castle Howard well worth it and walked around the perimeter 4.5 miles

Beautiful place for a quiet weekend of walking and relaxing. The walled garden is beautiful and gives a real sense of privacy. The cottage is larger than average and has great amenities. It’s very dog friendly. There’s a country pub a very short walk away for good food, drinks and a warm welcome. Also dog friendly. Stamford Bridge is a short walk away also , plus there’s the Dreamery Gardens, Allerthorpe woods and common also near by. The woods were great for pootling about and not crowded.

Professionally laundered towels and linen, without scent or perfumes. Eco friendly. Great location for visiting different places in Yorkshire. Tastefully decorated. Would highly recommend.

The garden house is located in a beautiful and quiet village. Local pub right next door and very friendly. The house itself was lovely with all the amenities you would need for a short stay. Gardens were an added bonus and the dogs enjoyed exploring. Would recommend this place to any one who wants to explore York!
An absolute gem of a place to stay. Beautiful house and gardens. Clean, modern, spacious, homely. Super cosy at night too with the lamps on. We had a great stay using the house as a base, going out for days (Scarborough, Whitby, York) and coming back to a cosy and clean house. The bathroom was particularly spacious and clean. We loved having the doors open onto the garden in the morning with the sun coming in. It was a peaceful place with a very helpful host. Would absolutely recommend!
We had such a lovely stay. The cottage feels very homely and is very well thought out inside. It’s clean and very spacious, we loved the walled in garden making it feel very secluded. We stayed for the weekend with our 2 year old and it was the perfect spot. We spent the day in York on Saturday and then were happy to cook back at the house for our Saturday tea. Host checked in with us when we checked in on Friday and again on check out. We will definitely return!
We had a wonderful stay in Low Catton with our dogs. The garden was amazing for them to explore and run and sniff, it was completely secure. The place itself was furnished well with everything we needed, it was so quaint and wholesome. There is a lovely local pub in the village with really friendly people, and we found some great walks where the dogs could be let off lead. We got complimentary tea and coffee and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook our own meals. The host was responsive with any questions I had and gave a detailed description so we knew exactly where to locate the AirB&B with no trouble. The whole experience was just perfect! I would definitely recommend this stay and it is 100% suitable for pets.

The Garden is a lovely, homely stay! Private place with lovely outdoor space. Plenty of room for a long stay and cosy in the evening with the little fireplace going. Not a far drive from York and a wonderful base to other Yorkshire locations.
Such a gorgeous property. It's very private and peaceful. The bed was really comfortable and the host extremely quick to respond. We had a lovely stay and would definitely come back. It cost about £15 back from York in an Uber and getting into York was either walking to Stamford Bridge and getting the bus, or doing a park and ride. Both of which were very inexpensive.
Lovely place, clean and comfortable and even nicer than the pics. Really peaceful and relaxing surroundings. My husband and I with our dog enjoyed a couple of relaxed nights here, we enjoyed the pub a stones throw from our front door. Really good value too. We’d love to come back

The surrounding villages of Low Catton and Stamford Bridge were equally lovely, with all the amenities we needed and some fantastic walking routes to explore. Whether strolling through picturesque countryside or venturing into York’s historic streets, we felt we had the best of both worlds. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

A lovely place to stay! One of, if not the nicest Airbnb we've stayed in with our dogs. The walled garden was completely enclosed and nowhere for the dogs to get out, very relaxing for us! It looked even better than the pictures, lovely and warm too, everything we needed even washing facilities and a coffee machine. Felt very private too, noone overlooking the property and self check-in and check-out so we arrived at our own leisure. Had a folder on the table with local walks and recommendations, we visited the Pocklington market which we had no idea about beforehand. We felt well looked after and had plenty to do. Amazing place to stay, we will be back!

The place was super cosy, as we went during Christmas there was a tree and Christmas cushion which was a lovely touch, we loved it! We had a fantastic stay at The Garden House in Low Catton. It was perfect for the two of us and our cocker spaniel, with a beautiful and secure garden. We had a walk into Stamford Bridge & finished with a drink at the local pub (2 minute walk from the house). It was clean and very well equipped. The perfect Valentine’s getaway and we hope to return again soon.
