Our cosy home has three large bedrooms, plus two family rooms, a fully fitted kitchen, a family bathroom, and a separate toilet upstairs. The garden is a relaxing place to sit and enjoy your coffee, as it is a sun trap throughout the day and evening. Really lovely house with three large bedrooms and generous living space. Great location for exploring the local area with many good walks and places to visit. Recommended highly.
Clean and spacious property. Very communicative host.
Well enjoyed stay.. especially for kids
Our family had a fantastic stay at Cecil Villa. Spacious and welcoming. Very well catered for all ages, our 2 year old had a great time. Veronica is a extremely helpful and responsive host. We have friends who live in the area so we will definitely book to stay here again next time we are in Derbyshire
Had a good stay here, large house with plenty of space with a nice pub down the up the road that does great food
142 was a smashing little house. Just what we needed for a long weekend break. The house is really lovely and so tastefully decorated. Plenty of space for relaxing.
10/10, lovely location and great home!
Beautiful home! Perfect for us as we were visiting for a friend wedding nearby. Veronica was very helpful with the instructions to check in. The place was immaculate, and we felt at home straight away. Perfect after a 5 hour drive. Thank you so much for having us. We completely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful stay.
This listing was in a fantastic location for ourselves, as we were visiting family in Alfreton. We stayed with 4 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room. The pull out beds were great. My daughter (5) was very excited to find lots of board games, jigsaws and cuddly toys. The property is deceivingly large, and the dining room was a great space, as well as the living room. We didn't make use of the gaming room in the chalet outdoors, but I imagine for a teenager that it would be great. The only negative point was that the departure time wasn't very flexible. We were travelling with a 4 month baby, and it turned out that they were due a feed at 11am (same time as departure). But when I communicated this with the host, I was told we could only stay until the cleaner came, who was waiting outside in her car by 10.45, so sadly the end of our trip was rushed slightly.
Was a beautiful home well worth the stay, very accommodating and equipped with all sorts of great games (video and board). great place, worth the money
A lovely place, no issues at all, very warm and cosy and a lovely place which we called home for 5 days.
One of the best houses we’ve stayed at.
The accommodation exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our mixed family stay while visiting other family. The added extras and addition of toys / entertainment for children made easy work of staying away with a 1, 3, 12 and 13yrs old! However despite being very child friendly, only 1 of the 3 rooms might feel out of place if all adult guests and beautifully decorated throughout so an excellent balance to suit guest both with and without children ? We had a great time thank you!
Great stay, the kids loved it. Was a good base to go a visit loads of places in the surrounding areas. The parking is confusing at first sight as you park on the pavement and by the kerb, most times it was fine and the neighbour offered to move theirs if needed when we got blocked in, but there was space to get round. The house had everything needed, just kitchen tongs were lacking in the kitchen. But lovely stay, we definitely would come back. Only thing to note the stairs are steep, so be mindful if you have young ones who aren't comfortable on stairs, and the bathroom is downstairs.
What an good place for families with small children! Our family of 5 had lots of space to spread out while also being able to eat and play board games together. The garden was lovely and the playroom annex was a great surprise! Overall it was a good stay.
Very practical for a family including a high chair and lots of toys that my toddler enjoyed. Lovely downstairs space with huge dining table in the dining table opening out from the kitchen as well as a cosy living room
The house actually looked even nicer than the photos suggested, so that was a pleasant surprise! Lovely house with lots of games to keep the kids entertained. Helpful suggestions of nearby things to do were definitely welcomed as we weren't that familiar with the area. Lovely stay!
Enjoyed a 3 week stay in a great location and friendly neighbours.
Lovely stay in a lovely house. It is an ideal base for exploring some of the stunning countryside or visiting bigger towns and cities like Sheffield and Nottingham. ideal house for family with young kids. I would definitely recommend it.
We appreciated the house, it was quiet, the rooms were clean, and everything was nicely prepared including made beds. Access was very flexible and independent, which allowed us to arrive late in the evening. The house is very well furnished, only the kitchen could use one or two more accessories. Thank you very much, we would love to come back again if we ever find ourselves in the area.

Great location for exploring this beautiful area
